Hey friends!

How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was filled with bootylicious Beyonce, a surprise baby shower, and family fun day!

Friday night we went to the Beyonce concert and she was BEYOND wonderful. Seriously, I could watch her sing and dance all day, she’s an amazing entertainer. We had 2nd row seats thanks to Angelo’s sister and brother-in-law (who were even closer in the Beyhive pit). I don’t know what was better, the performance or the people watching at the concert. Ok, the performance was incredible but the people watching was a close 2nd! 🙂

Saturday we had the usual soccer game where Sophia killed it on the field and Angelo had a surprise planned for us. All he told me was to wear a nice dress and bring all our bathing suits. SO, I’m thinking we’re going to lunch at a nice restaurant/hotel on the beach and then beachin’ it the rest of the day. We were on our way and Angelo told me that we had to stop by my brother’s to pick up something. I get out of the car and run up to the neighborhood clubhouse to “pick up some papers” and that’s when I see a bunch of people in the clubhouse and one of our friends hiding behind a chair. Friends and family yell surprise and I’m like what the heck?! LOL
Angelo, his mom, Luisa, Katie, and Alisha all helped plan this surprise baby diaper shower for me!

The shower was short & sweet with yummy food and dessert! It was a “diaper shower”, so everyone gifted us with tons of diaper to stock our closet. I completely wasn’t expecting anything since Katie & Alisha had both asked me numerous times about a shower months ago. I didn’t feel like I needed one since we aren’t finding out the gender and this is my third child, but once you’re gifted with a bunch of diapers you’re like “Wow yes that totally helps!” 🙂 So, thank you to everyone who helped plan, participated, or did anything to show love to us before we welcome this baby into our family. The biggest thank you to my husband who started the fire and kept it a secret for so long! 🙂

The rest of the day was spent by the pool at the clubhouse with good friends. We didn’t get home until around 9 pm! I also didn’t get one picture of the kids in the pool…fail. Part of that total pregnant mom anxiety at the pool not taking her eyes off her kids. The girls had a great time and were completely exhausted the rest of the weekend. As was I! 🙂

Sunday, after church we took a ride out to our house and completely fell in love with all the cabinets that have been delivered and are being installed. (Update pictures to come in the next couple of weeks!)
I had purchased a few supplies to knock off items on my “Family Bucket List” and Sophia found the stash. She insisted on doing every activity in the bag, so we had a great little family fun day tye-dying t-shirts and onsies…

Simple Thanksgiving Tablescapes

Simple Thanksgiving Tablescapes

While my house may scream “It’s Christmas” by mid-November, I always have a table or two dedicated to Thanksgiving. I want the table to be simple, welcoming, and just as pretty as the Thanksgiving foods on it. I don’t use the traditional Thanksgiving colors, as I like...

All the Details on our Kitchen Remodel

All the Details on our Kitchen Remodel

I want to start off and let you know I had to google what the difference between a ‘remodel’ and ‘renovation’ is for this post. A remodel is making changes to the structure, while a renovation is more like a restoration. Now that we’re all in the know on that, I’m...

Toasted S’more Espresso Martini

Toasted S’more Espresso Martini

Espresso Martinis have taken this generation by the hand and led us to a land where we don’t have to choose between coffee and alcohol on a night out on the town. LOL! It’s a drink that makes heads turn and the entire table will order one as soon as they’re mentioned....
