The JW Marriott on Marco Island, FL is your ultimate family friendly getaway spot. They’ve recently gone through a complete renovation with updated rooms, an entire Adult-only tower (including a rooftop pool!), and an indoor entertainment spot. The resort sits on 3 miles of beautiful Florida beach and just like all Marriotts, service and kids activities are plentiful and exceptional.

One thing I love about Marriott resorts is their kid’s clubs. I can always rely on them to provide a safe and fun environment for my kids if the hubs and I want a couple hours to ourselves. Our kids are on the younger side, so we’ve only used a handful of kids clubs so far. The JW Marriott on Marco Island offers The Tiki Tribe Discovery Day Camp for a fee of $70 per child (includes lunch). There’s no shortage of things to do with the kids, even through “covid times”. Shelling excursions, dive-in movies, a waterfall, splash pad area, slide, indoor arcade, glowing putt putt golf, and the beach!

After hearing great things from a few friends over the years, we finally had our turn at an amazing weekend at the JW Marriott on Marco Island.

We booked a standard 2 Queen Bed hotel room for this stay. It was spacious and actually worked for our family of six! The beds were comfortable and a roll-away bed fit perfect with room to spare. This isn’t always the case and we’ve had many sleepless nights in standard hotel rooms, making it unfortunately not do-able for us anymore.

Being a beach front resort, many rooms give you an amazing view of the pool and/or the white sanded Florida beaches. There’s few things in life I enjoy more than being able to wake up and have a cup of coffee on a balcony overlooking the ocean, or settling in for the evening with a glass of wine watching the sunset. Pure paradise!

Terrace 1 bedroom suites and Adult only (21+) Sirene suites are also available.

The JW Marriott on Marco Island offers 3 pools, one being the adult-only rooftop pool. The other 2 main pools are both family friendly, but one includes a waterfall, slide, and playground/splash pad for the younger kids. This is where we spent most of our Saturday and ordered a few drinks from the Tiki bar. Highly recommend their Coconut Mojito!

We migrated over to the other pool Sunday for a few hours to check it out, and I’d recommend saving your seats at the waterfall pool if you’re with small kids.

When we do weekends away at hotels, a majority of time you’ll catch us eating by the pool. We do like to dine at a resort restaurant at least one night, but rarely do we leave the resort property for food. Especially if we’re only there for a weekend and time is limited! During Covid closures, menus are limited, but I’ve linked some of their menus for you.

Cafe San Marco provided our morning coffee and breakfast for the kids. They have a large variety of coffee drinks, hot breakfast items, muffins, chocolate croissants, bagels, and prepackaged cereals. Think of it as your own little Starbucks, and then some.

400 Pazzi’s is the place for delicious brick oven pizza, pasta, and salad. When do you ever go on vacation and NOT get a request for pizza from your kiddos?! We enjoyed a classic Caesar salad and Buffalo Chicken pizza on Friday night. And of course, a plain cheese pizza for the youngins’. We heard their spaghetti and meatballs is a favorite, but pastas weren’t offered on the limited menu. Since Menchie’s was closed, Pazzi’s offered a cold case of prepackaged ice creams for the kids to choose from.  Link to their menu

Quinn’s On The Beach is their beach side restaurant and bar, offering great views and good eats! We enjoyed their Quinn’s Burger, Grouper Sandwich, and Gulf Coast Cobb with shrimp and crab. Usual suspects on their kid’s menu. Link to their Menu There is also a Quinn’s On the Go Cart circling the beach for your ocean side drinks!

10K Alley is a gastropod inside the arcade area. Food was not being offered  at the time, but you could get a glass of beer or wine while playing air hockey and putt putt golf.

Ario is a more upscale restaurant choice but still kid-friendly. They offer a good selection of dry-aging meats and seafood. We enjoyed the Oysters for an appetizer, NY Strip, Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, and their Catch of The Day option. The kid’s ate the kid’s spiral pasta and raved about it! It was nice to get dressed and enjoy a “quiet” dinner with a couple glasses of wine. Funny story: our waitress sold us a bottle of 75 Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon like she owned the winery, including an entire backstory of 75 Wine Co. It was a great glass of wine and now I feel like I had my own little private tour of the vineyard. 🙂  Link to their menu

The resort has several other dining options available including sushi, Mexican, a Tiki bar and grille, and Menchies (closed due to Covid in June 2020)!

*Don’t forget to ask about any current specials! Some months they’ll waive the kid’s camp fee when a spa service is booked.
*Don’t forget your beach toys!
*Don’t forget to order a Coconut Mojito at the Tiki bar!
*Don’t forget to hit up Quinn’s on the beach for dinner and Sunset Fire Dancer show!
