If you need some inspiration for this Mother’s Day, you’ll love these mom-approved ideas.

1. Mom-osa Brunch

One of my personal favorites so obviously number one on the list. Host a small brunch for your favorite moms and have a mimosa bar out for all. Complete the mimosa bar with a variety of fresh fruits and juices with Champagne.

2. Brunch at a Restaurant

If you’re local to Tampa I recommend Oxford Exchange or On Swann. Many other fabulous resorts and restaurants will probably have a special menu for the occasion. Google “Best Brunch” in your city for options.

3. Book a Room at a Resort for a Day

We did this one year at the Sandpearl in Clearwater and had a great time. We booked the hotel room for one night basically to hang out at the pool all day and relax, use the spa, and be served our every need. Talk about a great Mother’s Day!

4. Go for Coffee and Quiet Time

Grab a couple of moms in your life and head to the cutest coffee shop around for a quick and quiet time, or maybe a catch-up session! Need a recommendation? Raining Berries, Paradeco Coffee, or Tampa’s first cat cafe, Cats & Caffeine.

5. Check Out a Local Museum

I think small celebrations like Mother’s Day are perfect to do something you’ve never done before. Visiting a museum you’ve never been to can be fun for the whole family. I love the Dali Museum in St.Petersburg, or the Ringling Museum in Sarasota.

6. Get Your Thrill Fix at an Amusement Park

If you’re a thrill seeker this is definitely a better option for moms with older kids who can partake in all the roller coasters with you! Being in Florida, we have tons to choose from and I’m sure most of you already have an annual pass to at least one.

7. Have a High Tea

There’s something special and fun about High Tea when you get to sip out of fancy china and snack on small tea sandwiches and pastries. Oxford Exchange hosts an afternoon tea every Sunday, and there are several actual tea rooms in the area.

Sign up for a class making pottery at Drip Ybor, candle making at The Candle Pour, or a paint-n-sip at any local studio.
