Christmas Town returned to Busch Gardens this year for tradition packed days of holiday jolly, Santa visits, run ins with Rudolph, Christmas shows, lights, foodie finds, and more.

This was my first time going to Christmas Town and I was pleasantly surprised with how much there was to do! I’ve been to Busch Gardens while the Christmas decorations are you, but never to Christmas Village or any of the “extras” Christmas Town has to offer. To break it down a little bit, Christmas Town offers nine (9!!) Christmas themed shows, Santa’s house, Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland, a sing-along Jingle Bell train ride, and more. It’s hard to pack it all in one magical night.

A few of our favorite moments at Christmas Town:

Christmas on Ice is guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit with amazing skaters and Christmas songs.  The kid’s eyes were glued during the entire holiday spectacular.

How about dinner and a beautiful and laugh filled Christmas show? Dragon Fire Grill is transformed with the Christmas Celebration show. Singers, dancers and Santa himself fill the stage with Holiday cheer and laughs!

Elmo’s Christmas Wish! is a fun packed 15 minutes of singing, hand clapping, and dancing. We got to meet Elmo before the show started.

Character meet and greets!
In Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland we got to meet and take photos with Rudolph, Clarice, Sam the Snowman, and Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster. To keep the lines at a minimal you check in and receive a pager that will alert you when to come back. We were given an 80 minute wait to meet Rudolph, but since we had the pager and knew our estimated time, we were able to go out and make the most of our time while waiting.

You can’t go to Christmas Town without meeting the big man himself, SANTA! Santa’s house is a must do (and also on a pager system). During the “tour” of Santa’s house you run into Mrs. Claus (busy baking cookies)  and meet the friendliest elves, who give you the secret code to enter Santa’s study. Go inside to find him busy making preparations for the big day. He’ll take a break to give you and your littles some much needed Santa lap time!

Christmas Town Tips

First things first. At 5:00 p.m., go directly to Christmas Town Village to get your pagers for Santa’s House and Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland. You can enjoy nearby rides, shows, and yummy food to pass time if there’s already a wait. These are the most popular attractions at Christmas Town and ones you don’t want to miss. *We had dinner at Dragon Fire Grill and watched the Christmas Celebration show while we waited.

Download the Busch Gardens app to stay on schedule with show and attraction times. There is a “Christmas” tab to show you everything related to Christmas Town.

The Christmas Town Sampler pass is a perfect deal for my foodie friends. Enjoy samples of the holiday menu items in Christmas village and around the park. Some of my favorites are the Mini doughnuts and Sweet Potato s’mores!

We really enjoyed every magical and merry moments Busch Garden’s Christmas town had to offer. There is so much going on, plus the usual Busch Gardens rides and animals. It’s almost impossible to get it all done in one day. So, don’t forget Busch Gardens offers the Fun Card! Pay for a day, and come back all year to play. No black out dates! Buy a Busch Gardens Fun Card and get an Adventure Island Fun Card FREE*. Limited-time offer ends March 25, 2018.

Catch Christmas Town, starting at 5 p.m. on select nights through December 31st. Christmas Town is included in general admission tickets, no extra ticket is required.

Thank you to The Mommy Spot and Busch Gardens, my family and I were given free tickets to enjoy Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. As always, all opinions are my own.
