This time around I’m so occupied by two little ladies, building/designing a house, working, and blogging that sometimes I don’t even remember that I’m pregnant..until I try to do a swift move and throw out my back.
So how has this pregnancy been going? Well…I’ve been called huge, asked if there was a possibility that I was having twins, can barely breathe sometimes, and have extreme back pains…so basically it’s the most wonderful thing ever!
No, but really, there’s nothing I’d rather be doing right now than creating this child to welcome into our growing family. I don’t have any major issues in pregnancy so I call that a blessing! I may be sick but I’m not extremely sick. I may have body aches, but what else would one expect when gaining weight and carrying it all straight out in front of you? 🙂 Pregnancy is truly miracle to me!! (This does not mean it’s easy!!)
Now on to what’s been going on…
Weight Gain:
This pregnancy hasn’t been much different than my others, as I’ve gained about the same with all of them. I’m not here for you to compare your pregnancy weight gain with me, as every person is different. I run, I eat healthy a majority of the time, and I still gained 11 lbs in one month. That was just one month! It’s just what happens…to me. And you know what? I’m not worried about it. I’ve never been worried about weight gain during pregnancies because this isn’t the time in my life to worry about that. I will workout and kick ass as soon as I’m not pregnant, so what’s the worry? I’m not trying to fit into any pre-pregnancy clothes at the moment, I’ve actually boxed up all my pre-pregnancy clothing because I just don’t feel like looking at them every time I go to get dressed. That’s all I’m going to say about pregnancy weight gain…

Pains:
Exhaustion:

Cravings:
Exercising:
But, then I can get on the treadmill and run 2-3 miles and be fine…until this week. My running really slowed down last week. I was having a lot of pressure every time I ran for more than half a mile, so I’ve switched it up to fast paced walking at an incline on the treadmill. It still gets my heart rate up without the added pressure. Also, I get a bad cramp (like a running cramp) on my right side almost every time I ran on the treadmill. It’s totally my body/baby telling me to take it easy, and I listen. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! This is not the time in life to push myself. The only pushing to occur will be when it’s time to push this baby out! Alternatives to my runs on the treadmill have been the elliptical and stair master. A couple times a week I will do at-home workouts consisting of arm exercises using the dumbbells, simple leg exercises (squats, lunges), and then use the foam roller. Ahhhh the foam roller!
All caught up!
I have about 7 weeks to go and I’m trying to savor these last weeks with just our family of 4!!
Cheers (mocktails) to all my beautiful pregnancy mama’s out there! LOVE YOURSELF!
XOXO
