If you’re juggling multiple kids, schools, sports schedules, and snack requests at 7am, welcome. You are my people.
Here’s our real-life morning routine that keeps us mostly on track:

6:00 AM
Mom’s Time with Coffee + Silence
Before the madness begins, I wake up early enough to have a 30-ish minute quiet time. This is when I drink my coffee, sit outside with the puppies for their morning duties, glance at the calendar for any weird changes in our days, do a quick scroll of texts, emails, socials, and mentally prepare for the day with a deep sigh and possibly a TikTok or two for some giggles.

6:30 AM
Wakey Wakey, Rise + Shine
The kids start waking up in waves. Some bounce out of bed (bless them) and others need encouragement and a few 5-minute warnings.
We’ve learned that setting clothes out the night before is everything. It’s one less decision in the morning and with four, we’re not playing games.
Play music, start lunches, and get the party started.
7:00 AM
Breakfast-ish
Breakfast is chaotic good. Sometimes we do frozen Kodiak waffles and fruit, smoothies with protein powder (to make us feel good about ourselves), or real talk, a granola bar handed over with a kiss in carline. The rule is: you eat SOMETHING. Even if it’s a bite of someone else’s bagel.
7:30 AM
Final Countdown
Backpacks are lined up by the door. Water bottles filled (again). Shoes are hopefully on the right feet. Faces wiped of breakfast crumbs.
Meanwhile, I’m repeating:
“Did you brush your teeth?”
“Did you pack your PE clothes?”
“Yes, that’s your lunch. No, I didn’t pack Takis.”
“We don’t have time to discuss Roblox right now!”
Then, we load up and out the door!
8:30 AM
Mom Reset
The house is quiet. I finally drink my coffee. I clean up the mess and then I either get to work, workout, run errands, or just sit for a second and remember who I am. We don’t have perfect mornings, and every morning seems to have its own problems, but it’s not about being flawless. It’s about creating a rhythm that gives everyone a little structure and a lot of grace!
So, here’s to the moms showing up every morning with a pulled back pony or bun and a whole lotta love. We’re doing great!
