Disclosure: This event was sponsored by Beech-Nut® Naturals™, but as always, all opinions are my own.

Recently we were invited to co-host a Halloween themed playdate with The Mommy Spot Tampa Bay and Beech-Nut® Naturals™. We joined other fabulous local mom bloggers Natassja from Prose & Company, Diana aka Mrs. Blinks from The Gray Ruby Diaries, Yamel from Kurly Crown, and Jessica from That Millennial Momma.

It was gorgeous weather for the event by the river at Julian B Lane Riverfront Park in Tampa and I loved getting to sit and chat with over 50 other mommas that live in our city.

We had six tables set up with activities, a photo opportunity, and fun themed games set off to the side. This event had great ideas that I’ll be using in my own home in the future.
Activities using upcycled baby food jars are always a hit. If you’re in the baby food stage in life, you probably have them laying around or filling up your recycling can.

Painted Luminaries
These were Halloween themed, but they can be used for any holiday.
Simply paint the INSIDE of the jars and draw on the outside with permanent marker. Other ideas to draw on: turkeys, pilgrims, snowman, Santa, fireworks, flowers, stars, leprechaun, hearts, and any other shape!

Seedling Jars
Fill the jar about 1/3 with soil. Place a seed or two on top, and fill with another 1/3 soil. Water and place in sunlight.

Cookie Decorating was an obvious hit with the kiddies. Who doesn’t love cookies?! I was pleasantly surprised at the use of Beech-Nut® Naturals™ Just Apples applesauce in place of icing to decorate the cookies. It provided a healthy alternative to stick on the sprinkles and the kids didn’t even miss the icing!

Yogurt Parfaits
There were plenty of Beech-Nut® Naturals™ samples being passed around and enjoyed throughout the play date. The most popular yogurt topping was the Beech-Nut® Naturals™  just apple & blackberry Stage 2 baby food. It can easily be passed for a healthy dessert!

Thank you Beech-Nut® Naturals™ for allowing us this opportunity and providing REAL FOOD FOR BABIES™ (and toddlers too!)
