Eats & Drinks Around the World at Epcot

Epcot may be best known for it’s World Showcase, allowing you to eat and drink “around the world” in the matter of hours! It seems there is always some kind of festival going on at Epcot too.  The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, Epcot Festival of the Arts, and the holy grail, Epcot Food & Wine Festival.

There is tons to do besides eat and drink and Epcot does offer that little ride with the not so little line, Frozen Ever After. It’s one of my favorite parks (even to bring the kids too!), but that’s all another post. Today I’m talking solely about the EATS & DRINKS! (Are you surprised?!) All the yums!

Last time we were at Epcot, it was a short 3 days before their Flower & Garden Festival opened.  If you find yourself at Epcot on a normal “non-festival” day,  all those extra, special festival food tents will be closed and your options are limited to what each country offers on an everyday basis. I say “limited”, but it’s anything but limited!

1. Mexico
   DRINK: Guava Pink Peppercorn Margarita or any Margarita from Choza de Margarita
   FOOD: Empanadas de Barbacoa or Empanadas con Queso from La Cantina de San Angel. Don’t forget the guacamole or a picture with Donald in his Mexican attire.
   

2. Norway
   DRINK: Scandinavian Pilsner! **This is the only place outside Norway to have this beer, so I’d say it’s a must!
   FOOD: Akerhus Royal Banquet Hall serves the best Norway has to offer buffet style. Reservations are recommended.. For sweet treats: School bread is a popular Norwegian choice (Sweet Cardamom Bun filled with Vanilla Crème Custard and topped with Glazed and Toasted Coconut)

3. China
   DRINK: Baijoe Punch (Chinese bai jiu spirit, lychee, coconut, and pineapple) or Bubble Milk Tea from Joy of Tea
   FOOD: General Tso’s Chicken Bao Buns from Nine dragons restaurant

4. Germany
   DRINK: Altenmünster Oktoberfest
   FOOD: Giant pretzels and Bratwursts with sauerkraut are both served quick-service style. If you’re looking for a sit-down buffet style dinner, Biergarten Restaurant hosts Oktoberfest year-round with Bratwursts and potato salad.
   

5. Italy
   DRINK: Bellini
   FOOD: An authentic Pizza Napoletana from Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria and Gelato from Gelati!

6. United States
   DRINK: Frozen Red Stag Lemonade (Frozen Lemonade made with Red Stag Black Cherry Bourbon) available at Fire & Drum Tavern
   FOOD: Turkey Leg or a Classic Cheeseburger from Liberty Inn. Funnel cakes if you’re looking for a sweet treat.

7. Japan
   DRINK: Hot sake
   FOOD: Sushi, of course! Tokyo Dining offers many Japanese favorites. Try the Firecracker, Tropical, or the classic Volcano Rolls. Pair them with some edamame. 

8. Morocco
   DRINK: Habibi Daquiri (rum, strawberry, orange blossom water)
   FOOD: Chocolate baklava or Spicy hummus fries. There is an amazing Vegetable platter at Tangerine Cafe!

9. France
   DRINK: Orange Slush (Grand Mariner, rum, Grey Goose orange, orange juice). Don’t forget the Moët Champagne!
   FOOD: Sugar Crepe from Crepes des Chefs de France
   Chocolate eclair or Pain Au Chocolat from Les Halles

    DRINK: Bass Ale
    FOOD: Fish n Chips from Yorkshire County Fish Shop

11. Canada
    DRINK: Ottawa Apple (Crown Royal maple whiskey, Apple infusion, cranberry juice)
    FOOD: Maple Popcorn
